Description

A 2004 bottling at cask strength. There were approximately 1,300 bottles produced. An unusual lightly peated Ardbeg.

The Kildlton Cross is the only surviving complete Celtic High Cross in Scotland carved around A.D.800. It can be found in the churchyard of the former parish church of Kildalton just a few miles from Ardbeg Distillery.



Distillery: Ardbeg

Ardbeg is generally peaty, rich, smooth and very complex. Sweet malt, sea salt, dried fruits and rich Islay peat reek. Subject to closures, most recent reopening was 1998; the new 10 year old will be unveiled in 2008.



Tasting Notes

Oak, nuts, marzipan, smooth and silky. The nose develops sweet dried fruit.
