The viking god Njord has given name to this gin handcrafted from botanicals, potatoes, patience and curiosity. In a 220 litre copper pot still in the middle of nowhere in the heart of jutland, it all boils down to a deep, creamy and complex flavour. Every drop has a high quality. Each batch has its own personality. Season, soil and soul decide.

We make our distillate of Danish potatoes which provide a creamy palate for the handpicked botanicals such as sea berry, spruce, holy ghost, licorice root, rowans and woodruff.
The distillate is made in our beloved and magnificent German copper pot still. After weeks together with loads of junipers, we boil the mass again. This time with the botanicals.
Drop by drop, the spirit travels through the pot still. Hours after hours, we carefully taste the result during the process (yes, it's a tough job..) and make cuts to portion it in "head", "heart" and "tail".
The heart is when the taste and nose are at their cleanest and most elegant point. Only this part is used in the next steps of the process.
After the heart has been collected, we store it in steel barrels. A second tasting is done, and after this approval, we blend it with our own local spring water until reaching an alcohol percentage of 40.
Njord is handcrafted, hand-bottled, hand-labeled, and each batch/bottle is numbered.
